Real Company Box Trailers V2.1 is a mod for American Truck Simulator that enhances the realism of box trailers. It replaces the default box trailer skins with 32 realistic trucking company liveries. The mod also includes small details such as warning decals, trailer numbers, and manufacturer decals for added authenticity.
In addition to the visual improvements, the mod adds all trailers to the AI traffic, making the game world feel more alive. It is compatible with ATS 1.5, including the Advanced Trailer Coupling feature.
Update V2.1 brings several new features and improvements to the mod. Firstly, it ensures compatibility with ATS 1.5. Secondly, it switches the USA Truck and J.B. Hunt skins to have J.B. Hunt trailers in rail yards. It also switches the Landstar and FedEx Freight skins. Furthermore, it adds SAIA, C.R. England, and Costco trailers to the AI traffic. Additionally, all 53 ft. variants of the Dry Van and Reefer 3000R trailers are now included in the AI traffic.
While the mod enhances the game experience, there are a few known issues to be aware of. First, because the skins are upscaled to double the size of standard textures, they may cause FPS loss on underpowered computers. Second, due to the new paint job system in ATS 1.4, the rear of the 20/53 ft. Dry Van and 48/53 ft. Reefer 3000R trailers use the same texture. Third, the decal placements on the 53 ft. Reefer 3000R trailer may not be exactly the same as the real trailer due to mapping constraints. Finally, there are several plain skins included in the mod, which may be replaced with other company skins in future updates.
To install the mod, simply delete any previous version and copy the “Real_Company_Box_Trailers_andrei383.scs” file into your American Truck Simulator mod folder. Activate the mod in the ATS mod manager and increase its priority over other trailer mods for optimal performance.
