The PROJECT WEST V1.3.2 + addon Vegas + US & CA 50 99 (11.06) is a project that aims to improve existing roads and build new ones in the states of California, Nevada, and Arizona. The primary goal of this project is to update and enhance the main roads of California to give them a more realistic appearance. It started as “California Highways” but has since expanded and been renamed “Project West”.
This project includes roads that are closed for transit in real life, but in the game, players have the option to drive on them. The changes mainly focus on the “back roads” of Northern California and the creation of Yosemite National Park on Tioga Road (CA 120). There are also some minor changes to CA1 in the south of San Francisco.
Additional changes in this project include realistic road markings, the removal of speed camera traps, signs on certain roads, improvements in San Diego, enhanced visual effects when entering cities, and the addition of new cities such as Laytonville and Lee Vining. The reconstruction of US-395 and updates to the I-15 Mountain pass between Primm and Barstow are also included. The billboards and casino signs on I-15 in Primm and Las Vegas have been refreshed, and the I-15 / I-10 interchange and the I-5 / CA-56 / I-805 San Diego road system have been updated. Other fixes and upgrades have been made in Yosemite, US-93 between Las Vegas and the Hoover Dam, and the alignment of I-40. White protruding elevated markers have been added to the road markings.
This map is compatible with C2C + CanaDream and has been tested on version 1.6 of the game. The authors of this project are stoked_dude, hoseclamp72, Bigbearlesson101, and brainiac. It is also compatible with Viva Mexico 2.2 and can be combined with the Manifa map in the “Maps” and “Other” categories.
In Las Vegas and Primm, the project includes changes to the actual speed limits, street names, reflective warning signs on certain sections of the route, and new road markings and signs.
Manifa, an addon map created by Boeing73FLY, has been added to the MM category “Maps” and “Other”. Players can connect all the mentioned maps together for an enhanced gaming experience.
