MEXICO EXTREMO DURANGO (VIVAMEXICO) V1.0 Map

This is the Mexico Extremo Durango (VivaMexico mod) v.1.0 for Ats 1.28.x game version. To use this map, you will need the Viva Mexico V2.4 (Durango) mod, which can be found for free. Please note that the map is continuously being improved, so there may be known bugs such as missing AI, gaps, holes, etc. The next bug fixes will be available with the next state release, either Nayarit or Zacatecas, by October or November. Future releases may require a small donation and will include new prefabs, 3D models, scenery, etc. However, this version is free to show you the quality of my work, which I believe is worth having.

In this map, I have made modifications to the following areas:

Durango-Huazamota:

This is a rugged narrow road in the southern area of the state, built in 2013. It connects to Tepic, Nayarit. Currently, this road faces problems of constant mudslides and potholes that can be dangerous. The original road in VivaMexico was not accurate since there were no pictures or reference for this area. However, I have traveled on this road twice in 2015 and have many reference pictures.

Durango-Mazatlán:

The main changes made in this area are mainly to the toll highway, which now has added tunnels, curves, and improved environment. There were not many changes made to the original free road, except for a junction and some sharper curves near Mazatlan.

Durango-Torreón (or Gómez Palacio):

Since I live near this area in real life, I frequently drive on this highway. I was able to make improvements to the visual aspects of the highway, including flora, some sharp curves, and beautiful desert landscapes. The original road in VivaMexico was not accurate in this area, so I fixed it. I had to redo both the toll and free routes, each with unique landscapes.

Sierra Madre roads (Santiago Papasquiaro-Canelas-Topia-Tamazula-Culiacán):

This is an extremely difficult road to traverse. The best I did was with one semi with 23% damage. You must be cautious everywhere if you travel on this dangerous road, watching out for the narcos and the steep grades and dizzying curves. My suggestion is to keep your truck at the extreme edge when traversing the sharp curves to avoid getting stuck. This drive is full of surprises and fun.

This is the first edition of the “Mexico Extremo” series of mods, starting with the Durango state edition. The next one will be for Chihuahua state. As for a USA extreme edition, I will consider doing it once SCS releases Utah and Colorado. I might include the engineer pass, Bryce Canyon, Zyon National Park, and also make some fixes in Yosemite over the Project West mod.
