This mod package aims to enhance the realism of the driving and in-game experience in American Truck Simulator.
Updates in Version 1.6.0:
- Compatibility update for ATS version 1.6
- Ford S-Max and Mercedes C-Class Estate no longer appear in traffic as they are not commonly found in the United States
- Added or modified certain sound effects for moving vehicles
It includes various modifications to definitions and sounds, specifically tailored for American Truck Simulator.
Here are the key changes included in this mod package:
Vehicles:
- All AI cars, trucks, and buses now have realistic engine torque and top speed
- Each car’s engine torque has been carefully researched, resulting in different acceleration rates for each vehicle
- The top speed of each car is based on tire specifications from the Tire Rack website
- “Aerodynamic” trucks have a top speed of 65 MPH, while “traditional” trucks have a top speed of 75 MPH
- All buses have a top speed of 70 MPH
- Trams in San Francisco have a top speed of 9 MPH
- Traffic now includes a greater variety of trailers, both empty and loaded
World:
- Traffic signals now have longer and more realistic timings
- The green light interval is 20 seconds
- The left-turn interval is 10 seconds
- The amber (yellow) light interval is 4 seconds
- There is a 2-second delay interval between signals
Sound:
- AI vehicles emit sounds based on their brand and engine specifications
- For example, a Tesla car will have a faint electrical sound
- Buses now have specific diesel sounds
- Tire noises have been added to all AI vehicles
- Horn sounds for cars and trucks have been revised
- Improved thunder sounds for a more immersive experience
Truck:
- The default reverse alarm now has a lower pitch and longer tempo, emitting a tone for 0.5 seconds instead of the original 0.375 seconds
